Miami, FL — Rokk3r Labs, a Miami-based platform to cobuild and launch companies, announced today, that Scout Ventures, a New York based venture capital firm, has made a strategic investment in the company and will become a Rokk3r Labs Venture Partner.

Rokk3r Labs is a platform for entrepreneurs to cobuild and launch companies. As part of the agreement, Scout, a venture capital firm that focuses on early-stage investments, will become a Venture Partner at Rokk3r Labs.

“With a dynamic model that provides specialized resources to its portfolio companies throughout their entire life-cycle, Rokk3r Labs is at the forefront of the startup ecosystem in Miami,” said Brad Harrison, Founder and Managing Partner at Scout Ventures, “we are very excited to begin working directly with Nabyl, German and the entire Rokk3r community.”

Rokk3r Labs provides an innovative platform and business model where entrepreneurs partner with Rokk3r Labs strategists, creatives and engineers to cobuild and launch exponential companies. Rokk3r Labs partners with proven entrepreneurs, validates ideas through the methodical “Think Phase”, and ultimately launches companies to the market leveraging the Rokk3r Labs cobuilding approach.

As a Venture Partner, Scout Ventures will serve as a strategic adviser to Rokk3r Labs focused on strategic business development, fundraising, and product innovation across the Rokk3r Labs portfolio.

“We are thrilled to announce the strategic investment and partnership with Scout Ventures, who have developed a reputation as a leading global technology investor,” said Nabyl Charania, Chief Executive Officer at Rokk3r Labs. “The synergy will enable Rokk3r Labs’s aspirations to harness global collective genius to cobuild companies that change the world.”

In September 2014, Scout Ventures opened a satellite office in Miami in order to tap into the city’s burgeoning startup ecosystem. Rokk3r Labs is Scout’s second South Florida investment, following the fund’s recent investment in LiveNinja, a Rokk3r Labs portfolio company that provides an enterprise level, web-based, real-time video chat solution for businesses.
